The Position

Cost & Production Analyst

Job Summary

Reports To: the CAR Sub-cluster Manager, part of the Consolidation, Accounting & Reporting team of Greece

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Financial support & reporting for a number of different functional areas within the business as well as analysis, understanding and challenging monthly results with managers.

  • Preparation of reports/analyses to enable Senior Managers to control their costs. Analysis to include both historical reporting against prior year and versus forecast and variance analyses/reconciliations, together with future performance/trending by way of forecasting and longer term planning.

  • Calculate and update standard costs / actual unit costs in ERP for inventory valuation

  • Produce and review Monthly Mine and Plant / Site cost reports with mine / site manager.

  • Provide support to Hub Controller with the budget and forecast process, as well as ad-hoc analysis and information.

  • Responsible for Inventory counts and fixed assets reconciliation with ERP.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven work experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, Accountant or similar role.

  • University degree in Accounting or similar background.

  • Very good English.

  • SAP CO, FI Knowledge.

  • Knowledge of production process, logistics and supply chain.

Skills & Person Specification

  • Good understanding of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS), practices, standards, laws and regulations.

  • Ability to handle complex financial information.

  • Ability to create strong bonds with other people, inspire trust and confidence in peers, seniors, and external partners.

  • Demonstrate good communication skills to convey information.

  • Have a keen eye for details, ability to manage multi tasks / projects and meet tight deadlines.

  • Strong IT skills especially in Excel and Google suite packages.

  • Availability to travel to Milos Island regularly (estimated 30% in the first year).
